If there's a time of year to really go all out on your hairstyle it's Christmas, I was lucky to win an invitation to a GHD event hosted by one of my favourite YouTuber's StyleSuzi as well as Tamara from The Glam and Glitter, for an evening of hot tools and hair styling. It was lovely to meet Suzi and spend time with some of her subscribers, seeing the new GHD Eclipse in action.
Meeting the other girls and chatting over champagne and cupcakes, perfect Friday night.
With the lovely host herself :)
What to know more about their latest styler? The GHD Eclipse works on all hair types from the unruly, coarse to the more tamed mane to create effortless waves, using less heat in faster time for us busy girls. The plates glide through any hair type smoothly and creates gorgeous shine and curls that last for ages (mine were intact the next day and still looked great.) They demonstrated so many great looks, including top knots, Bardot style waves and a forties style look for myself - thanks again to head of education Jo Robertson and the GHD art team for giving us lots of hair inspiration:
A few hair styling tips we picked up on the night:
It's all in the prep, so make sure you use a good curl spray on dry hair to keep your style in place
Section hair and curl in opposite directions to create body and movement
Finish with a serum and hair spray to add shine, texture and hold to your curls
Jo working her magic on the models hair, she looks so gorgeous!
Suzi in the hot seat, you can see her finished look in her youtube vlog - link below.
With some of Suzi's readers L-R Me, Amy, Suzi, Carmen, Jess & Vivian
Thank you again to GHD and Shine for giving us this opportunity to met Suzi and Tamara. If you're not already subscribed to Suzi's youtube channel - you should for great beauty and fashion videos :)
You can also watch her vlog of the event above.
