If you think about the things that you're not happy with in your life, I'm sure there's a few things we can all try and change. There are so many factors that can impact our happiness, I've narrowed down 4 areas where we can get rid of those bad vibes. Let's go!

ENVIRONMENT


Sometimes we can't control our environment, you're bound to run into those who are just out to rain on your parade with complaints, bad attitude or moodiness. Simple solution? Don't engage with them, be polite and remove yourself from the situation. It's so draining being around negative people, they really can suck away your energy. I always try and respond with a solution rather than joining in with their rant. Because lets be honest ranting gets you nowhere, even if you're a child!

WORK


We spend so much of our days/lives working and it's not always so simple to find a job that we love but it doesn't have to be a place that drains your positivity. I've worked at places that I would dread to go into, seriously loathed with a passion and felt angry and stressed when I left. I hated how those work environments made me feel, so I made an active effort to leave even though it was out of my comfort zone. You're not chained to your job, find a work environment that is pleasant with like minded people and it will make such a difference to your mood and outlook.

RELATIONSHIPS


I'm sure some of us have been in those relationships where we thought we were happy but deep down, we just weren't. Every relationship has it's ups and downs but you don't have to be in a bad one. Be with someone who you respect, brings out the best in you and makes you happy. Sadly not all relationship are meant to be, knowing when to say goodbye could be the best thing to happen to you. The same goes with friendships too. Don't be afraid to be in the best relationships that you deserve.

YOURSELF


I wrote a post on how to have the best relationship with yourself and just to echo that, being the best version of yourself everyday will make you more happier than any fancy job or big group of friends. Learning to love yourself and everything will follow, let go of negativity and anger and you can't help but feel more content :)

    This is a great post, very helpful too! Negativity is definitely something that I battle with at times. I deal with it by thinking of all the things I'm grateful for. Thanks for sharing Hanh!

  2. Such a great post!! I never really thought about some of these but now I definitely will - goodbye negative people! It's not necessary and they just make me negative too!

    Whenever I'm thinking negatively I list 10 things I'm loving about life at that moment - puts things into perspective! :)

  3. You are my go-to girl for positivity/uplifting posts. Love your blog and this post is no different. I was starting to feel demotivated as a TV producer, constantly having to keep an eye out for the next show to work on so decided to blog/freelance write and produce full time. So much happier working for myself in a less stressful environment. Great post hun :)

  4. Agree with all! Responding with a solution when you're dealing with negative people is great advice. I also like what you wrote about work - far too many people, who are far too young to be feeling this way, think they're stuck or out of opportunities (I certainly did) and sacrifice their happiness for the security of a paycheck. I quit my first serious job at 19 and remember it being incredibly scary and daunting, but in the end, the best decision for my wellbeing. It's so important knowing you always have a choice :)

  6. Once you start actively trying to eliminate negative energy from your life you can feel the difference. It really does feel like a weight has been lifted. I think one of the most important facets in your life to assess is friendships and relationships in general, so many times it can be the people we surround ourselves with that are bringing us down.

  9. My workplace is super large, and out of everyone in the entire place there must be only like 2 or 3 people I don't get along with which is pretty good considering. But when they're being nasty and near me it can seriously bring down my mood.
