BRUNCH IN BRIGHTON, REDROASTER

BRUNCH IN BRIGHTON, REDROASTER

Hope you all had a super lovely weekend guys. Hang and I went to Brighton yesterday as it was nice and sunny and what better way to spend it than by the sea! I love Brighton as I grew up on the south coast, so being by the sea brings back happy memories. First on the agenda was brunch of course and you don't get a more Insta worthy spot than the Redroaster cafe in Brighton. Marble and gold - check, plants check, the list goes on....safe to say this place has all the right vibes for that botanical chic look going on. Ready to see some major interiors goals? (Also if the foods any good?!)

When we walked into the cafe we were greeted with a friendly face and quickly seated with menus. The seats were so comfy, Hang sunk right into the sofa! I was busy mesmerised with all the gold and marble, I mean check out the fancy sink by the door, totally beats the one at Nandos! Anyway shiny surfaces aside, we were ready to tuck into the food and drinks. Redroaster are well known for their coffee, which are ethically sourced and hand roasted beans. The food is a big deal as well, the chef has a Michelin star for 5 years. Sounds amazing right?

I had the cinnamon almond iced coffee, which was quite sweet but I didn't mind as it gave it a nice flavour. Hang's watermelon soda lacked a bit of punch though. The menu has a mix of breakfast and lunch dishes with a twist. You got herb waffles with bacon jam, pork shoulder ramen and baked eggs with green chilli. I love how adventurous the menu is and I go for the lobster buns with mango, spiced red pesto and radish. I didn't know what flavours to expect but was pleasantly surprised, the lobster was tasty and not over cooked, the mango added a fresh sweetness and the radish a nice crunch. It was a little sweet over all but I liked the fresh flavours. Points for presentation though, how pretty does the plate look! Hang goes for the English breakfast with sour dough bread and it was a pretty good portion, I tried the black pudding and flat mushroom and it was yum!

We were happy with the food and service here, it's such a nice and relaxed environment even though the cafe was busy. I would recommend visiting Redroaster if you're in Brighton. It's a chic and laid back place to grab food or coffee solo or with friends. Every dish that came out looked great, a lot of thought had gone into creating a feast for the eyes and belly! I hope you enjoyed this post and it's given you some interior and food inspo! Let me know what your think of the restaurant?
